Training: Erin Anna Jameson was born in Cape Town, South Africa, where she started her dancing career. After emigrating to London in 1996, she continued with ballet and discovered her love for gymnastics, specifically acrobatic gymnastics. Erin received honours in all her ballet grade exams but focused on acrobatics and spent most of her acrobatic career as a part of a women’s trio. After retiring from formal competition in 2008, she completed her A Levels and trained with a circus in Majorca.
Gymnastics includes: many national and international titles. She won gold at the Flanders Cup in Belgium and the Freedom Cup in Washington, DC. She holds individual tumbling titles at national level. In 2006, Erin competed for Great Britain in the acrobatic gymnastics World Championships in Coimbra, Portugal, finishing sixth in the world.
Theatre includes: Carmen (Royal Albert Hall 2009).
Other work includes: Erin’s talent for handstand balancing has drawn interest from many areas. This gave her an opportunity to explore the world of free running and parkour. In 2009 she was part of a European campaign for the Swiss company Swatch with the free running group Urban Freeflow. She is involved with entertainment agency Nexus Europe, travelling to Barcelona, Manchester and Oxford where she choreographed a show. In 2009 Erin was the featured dancer and free runner in rapper Example’s music video Watch the Sun Come (Devil’s Gun remix), reaching No 1 on MTV Dance.
Now aged 19, Erin is making her West End debut in Love Never Dies.
