Training: Dean was born and brought up in Lancashire and trained in London at the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre.
Theatre includes: Immediately upon graduation in 2005, understudy and played the leading role of Walter Hartwright in The Woman in White directed by Trevor Nunn (Palace). Also, Evita directed by Michael Grandage (original revival cast, Adelphi). In 2008, Dean originated the leading role of Ash in Never Forget, the musical based on the songs of Take That (UK tour, Savoy and DVD). Most recently, La Cage aux Folles (Menier Chocolate Factory production, Playhouse) and Prince Charming in Cinderella (High Wycombe and Nottingham).
Dean is a very keen sportsman, currently captaining London Theatres Cricket Club and a member of the Stage Golfing Society.
