On Saturday 7th November 2009, Ramin Karimloo – who as we all know by now is going on to play the role of our Phantom in Love Never Dies – played his final performance as theĀ Paris Opera House’s Ghost in the original London production of The Phantom of the Opera.
A trip to Her Majesty’s to see Ramin’s final evening performance was an incredible experience, with a fantastic show from Ramin and the rest of the London cast capped by an incredibly emotional curtain call as the audience got to their feet to give the cast several standing ovations. And following the performance, and after Ramin had packed away all his possessions from the number one dressing room, Ramin and the cast made their way to Stage Door to meet some of the fans. Even the cold evening had not dampened their enthusiasm as the queue for autographs and photos stretched all along the building (that’s quite long…)
After an incredible run at Her Majesty’s – initially playing Raoul, and then for the past two years donning the mask as his nemesis The Phantom – we can’t wait to see Ramin develop the role when he moves into the Adelphi in February for Love Never Dies – but in the meantime we’ll be returning to Her Majesty’s to see Ramin’s successor David Shannon take on the Phantom, not to mention the rest of London’s fabulous Phantom cast.

My sister and I have seen Mr Karimloo twice and he always gives his best to the audience. He always donne the mask with a big hart and meet his phans after the show at the Stage Door. And we will thank him for that and for his big hart.

I saw Ramin’s final performance as Phantom on November 7th, he truly proved himself to be the best Phantom! I was hypnotised again by his passion and emotion he put in for the character! I’m so happy he gave time to sign me and my friend’s programme and a copy of his album and have a picture =D I can’t wait for Love Never Dies =]

Farewell Ramin!
He is truly the best Phantom since Michael Crawford. First time I saw Phantom of the Opera live (this summer) he played The Phantom, and what an incredible experience!
Greetings from Gothenburg!

I saw Ramin twice as the Phantom, the first time was for my 16th in August and the second was for the matinee performance on his last day. I met him after the show both times – he’s a really nice person
Can’t wait to see him in Love Never Dies!

I totally agree with the others. I’ve seen Karim perform (it was my birthday, and I sat at the first row) and it was the best performance ever. I’ve seen Phantom in various countries, only could not see it start up in London with Michael Crawford.
Since then, I try to see it at least once a year, and the film I watch monthly. I’ve already purchased tickets for the show Lover Never Dies (beginning of April) as we have Easter holidays then (I’m a teacher). Can’t wait to see it!!!
